Introduction

Welcome to my weekly report documenting my journey during Google Summer of Code 2023 with the Linux Foundation! In this project, I am working on enhancing the existing speech-to-text feature of Automotive Grade Linux (AGL) by introducing a Natural Language Intent engine and implementing software daemons/controllers to execute the extracted intent. This endeavor aims to significantly improve the user experience and functionality of the speech-to-text feature in automotive environments. Throughout this report, I will share my progress, challenges faced, and achievements made as I contribute to the development of AGL and pave the way for more intuitive and intelligent voice interactions in automobiles.

Summary of the week

This week's activities were primarily focused on project development, documentation, and preparing for the final GSoC report. Notable achievements include the submission of updates to the voice agent service in Gerrit, making necessary improvements to the project's documentation on Gerrit by incorporating internal Gerrit links for enhanced navigation, and the initiation of the first draft of the final GSoC report.

• Voice Agent Service Updates in Gerrit: Successfully pushed updates to the voice agent service in Gerrit, contributing to the project's development and codebase. These updates play a crucial role in enhancing the functionality and reliability of the voice agent service.
• Documentation Enhancement on Gerrit: Improved the project's documentation on Gerrit by incorporating internal Gerrit links. This enhancement optimizes the documentation's usability and ensures a smoother navigation experience for project stakeholders and contributors.
• First Draft of Final GSoC Report: Commenced the creation of the first draft of the final GSoC report. This report will provide a comprehensive overview of the project's progress, achievements, and outcomes, serving as a valuable reference for both project assessment and knowledge dissemination.
